Hey Team, Genesis Colony Development
So I have no experience writing narrative beyond my Game Jam game "A Short Place" which was inspired by "A Short Hike."
I was listening to a podcast called The 250 and during an episode on Alien: Romulus the obvious discussion came up of sexual violence and bodily autonomy, forced impregnations and social groups collapsing under a terrifying physical change. That's where my original idea for the story came from.
I am following a course on design right now so I am already haunted by my menus being non-modular. Gamepad support is actually in the game but not for menus. The consequences of poor planning are hard to bear, especially when I have a dynamic text size slider everywhere except the terminal screens and pause menu.
According to comments in Unreal Engine colour blindness exists in up to 7% or 1 in 12 of males. For females the notes suggest 1 in 200 are affected by this. Apparently this is an X chromosome thing. I added a quick toggle for the engines color options that switches through the types.

Accessibility isn't super hard to make some concessions for and when an engine makes it that easy to add support for an option it really should be done.
